Four UK Fire Authorities award Interspiro contract for new breathing apparatus

After months of work all four Fire Authorities Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire and Norfolk have awarded a framework contract to provide state of the art breathing apparatus to Interspiro Limited.

This is the first contract awarded that meets the governments new collaborative approach to procurement and the benefits of that collaborative work are clear to be seen in the product selected to protect all four brigade's fire-fighter's.

The first brigade to take delivery will be Norfolk followed shortly afterwards by Lincolnshire, then Cambridgeshire and Bedford & Luton will follow later next year.

This is the first contract to be awarded under the new government initiative for collaborative purchase and its success is extremely important to the Fire Service as a whole.

Alan Riddet, Chief Fire Officer in charge of Lincolnshire’s firefighters is pleased to enter this relationship with Interspiro who have a reputation for high quality and excellent customer relationships.
