On
December 1 Interspiro delivered the
very first batch of their new rebreather
system "IS-MIX" to the Royal
Danish Navy ("Kongelige Danske
Marine").
The IS-MIX is a demand controlled
semi-closed breathing system for military
use. The IS-MIX
has a very low magnetic profile and a very
low acoustic signature, both which are essential
elements when developing breathing apparatuses
for mine clearance operations.
The IS-MIX is a mechanical rebreathing
system that is extremely simple to prepare
for use and to operate. Apart from excellent
magnetic signatures and acoustic qualities,
the safety aspect has been given high priority
in the design of the IS-MIX.
The new IS-MIX is based on the well-proven
concept of Interspiro’s previous
rebreather models, the ACSC and the DCSC.
Both which have been in operation for over
30 years and have an excellent track record.
