SUPERPASS II (PASS stands for “Personal Alert Safety System”). In emergency situation when a firefighter is rendered unconscious a motion detector can be a real lifesaver. For this reason it is compulsory in many countries for fire and rescue personnel to carry a personal motion detector. Superpass is made in a durable heat-resistant polycarbonate.

superpass integrated with interspiro SCBA

Superpass II is available in a version that can be integrated with an Interspiro SCBA. An integrated motion detection alarm connected to an extra hose coupling.
The motion detector is attached to the BA harness and is automatically activated when the cylinder valve is opened.
To deactivate the integrated version, close the cylinder valve, depressurize the system, and simultaneously push the two side buttons.

superpass II-M

The SuperPASS can be attached anywhere on the body, if the sensor do not detect motion under a defined time span the alarm is activated. If motion has not been detected for 18 to 23 seconds (shortly before full alarm is activated) an increasing pre-alarm is activated. The pre-alarm is automatically reset if the firefighter moves. If motion is not detected during the time span 30 to 35 seconds the pre-alarm turns into full alarm. A high pitched alarm signal is heard and a flashing light is seen.

Superpass II is activated by removing a Accountability Key. The key can be personalised with ID, photo, name or service number. The key is attached to an adjustable strap, pull the strap with the key and SuperPASS is activated.

While the SuperPASS is in its motion detection mode the alarm can be activated manually at any time by pushing the front alarm button. When the alarm is activated it can only be reset to motion detection mode by pushing the two side buttons simultaneously. The SuperPASS is deactivated by inserting the key and simultaneously pushing the two side buttons.

superpass with heat sensor— superpass II-H

To differentiate SuperPASS II-H from the M model it has been furnished with red buttons. It is also tagged with an H after the serial number (located inside the battery chamber.)

The heat sensor warns with a ringing sound. It is not intended to be an absolute measurement of the surronding temperature. The timing of the temperature alarm is determined by a built-in delay but placement of the sensor and the fire environment may influence the sensors delay.
